Dr. Kanki is an internationally recognized virologist whose work has advanced understanding of viral pathogenesis, epidemiology, and implementation science in West Africa. She has led major research initiatives on HIV and other emerging viruses, including long-standing collaborations on Zika, Ebola, and dengue in Senegal and Nigeria, and has directed large-scale public health programs such as the AIDS Prevention Initiative in Nigeria (APIN) and the Harvard PEPFAR program. Her research directly informs solutions to viral threats affecting maternal and child health across the region. (Harvard Public Health)

This seminar will highlight current evidence on arboviral impacts at the maternal–fetal interface and discuss implications for research, policy, and practice in global health.

We encourage faculty and researchers from all units with interests in global health, infectious diseases, maternal–child health, immunology, and related fields to attend.
