On November 2, Rutgers Global Health Institute and the New York Academy of Sciences co-presented a full-day symposium about science denialism—including debate on the use of that particular phrase.
Big Picture Science, the radio show and podcast of the SETI Institute, talked with panelists as well as attendees at the “Science Denial: Lessons and Solutions” event in New York City that featured four panel sessions, a keynote address, and plenty of networking opportunities. The eight-part podcast includes interviews about:
- What is Science Denialism?
- Denial or Distrust?
- Science and Storytelling
- Manufacturing Doubt
- Science and Industry
- Framing Denialism
- Scientists’ Responsibility
- Convert Outreach
Broadcast in more than 100 cities throughout 30 U.S. states and in five cities in Canada and New Zealand, as well as worldwide on the internet and through downloadable podcasts, Big Picture Science engages the public with modern science research through “smart and humorous storytelling.”
