Sunanda Gaur

Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School

As director of the Robert Wood Johnson AIDS Program, Sunanda Gaur’s current work in HIV/AIDS concentrates on early diagnosis and treatment of HIV among youth and families focusing on adherence to treatment regimens and identifying barriers to care. She also directs the South Asian Total Health Initiative, which is engaged in research, education, and outreach related to health issues facing the South Asian immigrant population residing in New Jersey.

Gaur’s areas of interest include nutrition, diabetes, cardiovascular health, and infectious diseases such as TB and HIV.
