Rutgers Giving Days will take place from March 20–21. During this event, Rutgers Global Health Institute is raising funds in three areas:
When it comes to cancer, where you live can determine if you live. Worldwide, the overwhelming majority of cancer deaths are in low- and middle-income countries. In sub-Saharan Africa, cancer deaths are increasing at an alarming rate. This fund supports Rutgers Global Health Institute’s efforts to confront the cancer crisis in the sub-Saharan African country of Botswana. Already, this work has begun addressing cancer disparities in other countries in the region. With your help, we can save lives and transform cancer care in sub-Saharan Africa.
Botswana-Rutgers Partnership for Health Fund
At Rutgers Global Health Institute, working toward health equity is our primary purpose. That means addressing health inequities wherever they exist—including Rutgers’ home state of New Jersey. This fund supports the institute’s efforts to confront health disparities, including social and environmental determinants of health, in New Jersey’s low-income and minority communities. With your help, we can create a healthier New Jersey for all.
Health Equity in New Jersey Fund
Every community should be healthy and thriving, but the reality is far from this ideal. All over the world, there are profound disparities in the conditions required for good health. At Rutgers Global Health Institute, we drive health equity solutions, locally and worldwide, through research, partnership, and capacity building. With your help, we can create a healthier world for everyone.
