Public Health’s “Equity Clout” Problem: What Is It and How Do We Address It to Achieve Structural and Cultural Humility?

The Region 2 Public Health Training Center, for which Rutgers School of Public Health’s Center for Public Health Workforce Development is a community-based training partner and technical assistance provider, is holding a webinar at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Join the Region 2 Public Health Training Center for their June 2023 Log-in2Learn live webinar. Participants will learn about equity clout in the context of cultural and structural humility from Jerel Ezell, director of the Cornell Center for Cultural Humility and assistant professor of general internal medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine.

After the webinar, participants will be able to:
– understand what equity clout means in the context of public health departments’ efforts to build structural and cultural humility;
– describe the three primary factors contributing to diminished equity clout; and
– identify the three approaches for bridging the equity clout gap.
