Community Day: Health Fair and Giveaways

Rutgers Global Health Institute is collaborating with partner organizations to hold a Community Day event on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
The event will include a health fair and distribution of free clothing and household items (new and gently used).
The health fair will offer free access to health education and resources, health screenings (such as blood pressure, blood glucose, and BMI), and a COVID-19 vaccination clinic.
The COVID-19 vaccination clinic is for individuals aged 5 and older; booster doses are available for all who are eligible, and booster recipients should bring their vaccination card. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Sacred Heart Church, 56 Throop Ave., New Brunswick, NJ
Free and open to the public. Walk-ins are welcome; no advance registration is required. The event will take place in the church parking lot. For more information, call 732-545-1681, ext. 105.
Partner organizations involved with the event include Aetna, Amerigroup, Catholic Charities – Diocese of Metuchen, Holy Family Parish, New Brunswick Tomorrow, New Jersey Department of Health, North American Disease Intervention, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Rutgers Global Health Institute, Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care, Saint Peter’s University Hospital, and Unity Square.
The event is a component of the institute’s Equitable Recovery COVID-19 response program.
