Padmini Salgame
Professor, Department of Medicine – Division of Infectious Diseases, New Jersey Medical School
Padmini Salgame’s research program is focused on discovering mechanisms of protective immunity and pathological response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis. In addition, Salgame’s laboratory also collaborates with a group of investigators on developing biomarkers for risk of progression to tuberculosis disease and treatment failure.
Salgame has conducted work in Brazil, India, South Africa, and Uganda.
