The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is holding a professional development event from 12 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023. The following information is from the event description:
This session is presented by James Hill and Maria Soto-Greene of New Jersey Medical School. Implicit bias refers to the unconscious attitudes, thoughts, or feelings that may be contradictory and inconsistent with an individual’s conscious beliefs. Despite the unconscious nature of implicit bias, there is evidence that it affects health care and workplace outcomes.
