Rutgers Global Surgery and the Global Surgery Student Alliance present a lunchtime lecture by Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School alumnus, Harvard Medical School faculty member, and renowned global neurosurgeon Kee B. Park.
Dr. Park is a faculty member at Harvard’s Program in Global Surgery and Social Change. He is also a consultant for the World Health Organization’s Expert Advisory Panel on Surgical Care and Anesthesia, through which he promotes the development of national surgical planning. By working with the World Federation of Neurological Societies and serving as director for the Cambodia Neurosurgery Support Project and the North Korea Program, Dr. Park has fostered collaboration among physicians in the U.S. and abroad. His lecture at Rutgers will cover the evolution of global surgical careers; the complications, barriers, strengths, and advancements of surgical care in low and middle-income countries; and collaboration between international, interdisciplinary stakeholders.
Pizza will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is free and open to all Rutgers faculty, staff, and students.
