Michele Miller

Vice President for Acute and Nursing Services, University Behavioral Health Care

Michele Miller, RN, MSN, has worked in the health care industry for more than 40 years as a practitioner and an administrator to promote overall health and wellness. Her area of expertise is in providing health care and education focusing on health disparities in patients diagnosed with acute psychiatric disorders. Further, her community service endeavors provide preventative education and ensure access to health care for all individuals, families, and communities, especially among underserved populations.

Miller’s work addresses issues such as health promotion and health care integration based upon a collaborative model, including mental illness and the impact of trauma, violence, and age-related illnesses. She takes on an innovative approach to addressing unique challenges facing international populations, thus supporting the work of Rutgers Global Health Institute’s Disasters, Community Health, and Resiliency work group.
