Benjamin Melamed
Benjamin Melamed is interested in technology solutions for health care problems, with special emphasis on telemedicine and general telehealth. He has been part of an interdisciplinary team that includes Rutgers collaborators from the School of Nursing, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and Rutgers Business School, who received a $342,903 grant from Pfizer to prepare a cadre of nurse practitioners to provide rheumatology services via telemedicine delivery in order to address local and nationwide shortages.
Melamed was awarded an AT&T Fellow rank and was elected IEEE Fellow. He has authored or co-authored over 110 papers and co-authored two books.
