Rutgers Project ECHO at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is holding a session on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 12 p.m. as part of its Hispanic Health virtual education series.
The session is titled “The Role of Limited English Proficiency (LEP) in Health Outcomes.” More about the Hispanic Health series from the Rutgers Project ECHO description: The Hispanic community faces a number of challenges in accessing health care. Hispanic adults are less likely than other Americans to have health insurance and to receive preventative medical care. Health care disparities, including language and cultural barriers and racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic factors, further contribute to disparate health outcomes. Led by a multidisciplinary panel of medical experts and educators, the Hispanic Health series aims to engage health care providers in community, primary care, and hospital-based settings to increase their skills to provide culturally and linguistically responsive care to the Hispanic community.
Free and open to health care professionals; designed for health care providers in community, primary care, and hospital-based settings. Continuing education credits may be available. For more information and to register in advance (required), visit projectecho.rutgers.edu/echo/hispanic-health.
