Rutgers School of Public Health is hosting a webinar about the current monkeypox outbreak at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 5.
During this webinar, leading public health scientists, clinicians, and community leaders will share critical information on the current monkeypox outbreak in the United States and how to keep yourself safe. Brief comments will be provided on the epidemiology and clinical manifestation of the disease. The experts will also discuss vaccination, including access, and the undue burden being placed on the health and well-being of sexual minority men.
Speakers include Perry N. Halkitis, dean, School of Public Health (SPH); Rafael E. Pérez-Figueroa, associate dean for community engagement and public health practice, SPH; Leslie M. Kantor, chair of the Department of Urban-Global Public Health, SPH; Bobby Lowry, harm reduction coordinator at Visiting Nurse Association; and Quincy Bell-Viljoen, LGBTQ manager at Hyacinth AIDS Foundation.
