Rutgers Health Equity Academic Researchers (RU-HEAR) in the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs is hosting a keynote presentation and discussion at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 21.
“Challenging Assumptions and Injustice: Lessons for Health Equity Academic Researchers” will be presented by Lisa Bowleg, a professor of applied social psychology at George Washington University and the founder and president of the Intersectionality Training Institute.
The subtitle of Bowleg’s presentation is “Prompt Black and other health equity researchers of color to radically imagine their research as a transformative tool to advance health equity.” The event will examine and explore:
