Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and the McCourty Twins Tackle Sickle Cell organization are hosting a blood drive on Saturday, February 22, 2020, in New Brunswick.
Did you know? One in 500 African Americans and one in 1,400 Latinos are born with sickle cell disease. It also affects people of Caribbean, Middle Eastern, Indian, and Mediterranean descent.
All presenting donors will receive a signed photograph of the McCourty twins—brothers Jason and Devin were football standouts at Rutgers before joining the NFL, where they are now starting defensive backs—and a Tackle Sickle Cell tshirt. Everyone who registers through the website and then presents to donate will receive a $10 gift card to New Brunswick eatery Hansel ‘n’ Griddle.
Visit the Tackle Sickle Cell website or call 732-235-8100, ext. 221 or ext. 248, to register or for donor eligibility and additional information.
