Sunyoung Kim is an expert in the area of human-computer Interaction and interaction design. She has extensive experience with designing, building, and evaluating mobile and ubiquitous computing technologies that can promote positive changes toward everyday health, well-being, and environmental sustainability.

She has conducted projects with vulnerable populations, such as older adults, children, low-income households, and patients with critical health concerns, to empower them to cope with the situations in their lives both independently and collaboratively.
