Sharon Li is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology, at New Jersey Medical School and a medical oncologist at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. She has a passion for medical education, cancer prevention, and patient empowerment, both locally and globally.

Her medical practice focuses on both classical hematology and cancers of the gastrointestinal system. She participates in multidisciplinary tumor boards, opening and accruing patients to clinical trials, and teaching medical students and residents.

As a global oncology fellow during her hematology/oncology fellowship at Rutgers’ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Li worked with Rutgers Global Health Institute and the Botswana-Rutgers Partnership for Health to pilot a training program for medical clinicians in Botswana. As a faculty member at Rutgers, she continues to expand on the work she started during her fellowship.
