Licelot Gonzalez coordinates and implements the Equitable Recovery program in the South Ward of Newark, New Jersey. In this capacity, she offers resilience support services to the neighborhood’s small businesses that are facing challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She previously worked at Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, delivering culturally sensitive programs to young girls in the communities of Elizabeth, East Orange, Irvington, Jersey City, Newark, Orange, and South Plainfield. In an earlier role, she worked as a family support worker for the Healthy Families program, educating new parents on child development, and facilitating resources for undocumented immigrants. She has a bachelor of arts in psychology and Asian studies from Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences. She also speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and Korean.
