Hari Iyer’s experience includes supporting health equity research in sub-Saharan Africa and the U.S.

Prior to starting his career as a cancer epidemiologist, he lived and worked in Rwanda and Zambia, supporting health systems’ evaluations of HIV and primary care programs. His primary research at Rutgers focuses on understanding how neighborhood and environmental factors influence prostate cancer outcomes and access to care in diverse populations in New Jersey and the U.S. He continues to support Africa-based oncology care delivery programs through providing technical support in evaluation design and geospatial analysis.
