Angela Senger-Mersich supports the institute’s partnership efforts and facilitates global health engagement activities for students and faculty across Rutgers. Previously, she worked as a statewide coordinator for New Jersey’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education, driving policy, systems, and environmental change initiatives and creating opportunities for families with limited resources to improve their diets and realize healthier lifestyles. Angela also worked in the Department of Human Ecology at Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, where she coordinated research encompassing food safety, risk communication, and emergency preparedness. She holds a master of science in clinical psychology from Heidelberg University in Germany.
