Etphane Barthelus

Program Coordinator, Rutgers Global Health Institute

Etphane Barthelus coordinates and implements the Equitable Recovery program in the West Ward of Newark, New Jersey. In this capacity, she offers resilience support services to the neighborhood’s small businesses that are facing challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, she worked as a COVID-19 case investigator for the Jersey City Department of Health and Human Services where she communicated the importance of isolation, created a case record, and ensured that the needs of isolated individuals were being addressed. She holds a master of public health degree from the Rutgers School of Public Health and is fluent in English, Haitian Creole, and French.
